Even though it’s already nearly March, I wanted to share some of the things I’m working on for the year. I’ve found that when I put them here on the blog I keep myself fairly accountable for them. Plus I just like to see what everyone else is up to.
This year is actually very goal oriented for me, but these are my favorite 3. You may read them, and think it’s silly for an at home manicure to be a top 3 goal. So let me explain . . . I have broader, bigger goals. But I’ve learned since having Jack 2.5 years ago that I do better when I break things down. For example, one of my goals this year is to find different ways to be creative and fill fulfilled. So I wrote down things I’ve always wanted to do one of them was open a bakery, but I’ve always struggled with decorating cakes and cookies. So this year I very specifically broke that down.

learn to give myself a good at home manicure – I’m always jealous of girls who have their nails done all the time. I keep my nails in good condition, but never painted and usually not the same shape. Going to the salon every week is just not something I’m interested in adding to the budget. So I’ve decided to teach myself how to paint my nails!

create a prayer journal just for me – In the last year or so, I’ve really worked on spending time talking to God every day. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that prayer doesn’t have to be a formal, get on your nails, ‘dear god’ type of thing. For my scattered brain, its been incredibly helpful for me to write out all my fears, worries, and things I’m thankful for. I’ve looked into specific journals and things, but none of them work perfectly for my mind so I want to create one that is perfect for me.
learn to make and decorate the perfect sugar cookie – like I said above I’ve always wanted to own a bakery. I’m not sure if that is an actual realistic life goal or if being a good baker is just something I want to actual mark off my list. But while i figure that out, I need to learn to decorate cakes and cookies better. I prefer cookies over cakes so that’s where we’re starting!
What are some of your goals for the year? How are they coming along?

Here is my list
1. Eat healthy and in turn lose 80 more pounds.
2. Learn to be a saver. Not just 401K but in my savings account so it is liquid.
3. Learn to play guitar. Youtube is my friend and I’m gonna utilize it more.
