the one with the off shoulder trend

April’s series is ‘how to wear and dress up your shorts’. When I was younger, I made the assumption you could only wear shorts for casual events or active events. Even now I see myself and my friends struggling to figure out how to dress them up a little. After 2 years in Florida, I have a pretty good idea considering I’m lucky enough to wear them year round. Since summer is right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to share a few easy outfits to dress up your shorts! The second outfit in this series features the off shoulder trend that is everywhere this season.

I LOVE this top which I purchased at my favorite online store shopbop. It’s a a bit of a statement piece withe the sleeves so the accessories are simple. That necklace is my new favorite because it keeps double duties. It’s also a great teether for Jack. He’s showing a lot of interest in my jewelry so I have to be cautious of what I wear. He is also teething like crazy so this necklace is the perfect choice most days.

My sandals are also new. I have to be honest. I felt weird spending $44 on flip flops. But the quality and price per wear won out, and I will never regret this decision, ya’ll. Get you some nice flip flops!

I have a similar off the shoulder white top and I love it for spring and summer! They’re so easy to dress up with funky earrings, a fun necklace like you did, or colored jeans. I’m definitely jealous of your Florida living! I live in Germany and it will be quite a bit before I can wear shorts 🙁
