It’s certainly not cold in Florida right now, but it’s not beach weather either. So when one of my husbands best friends came into town last week, we felt a little more pressure than usual to show him around town. We live in a small little beach town where lots of Midwesterners come to retire. There’s a considerable amount of younger folks here so it’s not quite a retirement community, but finding things to do and places to eat that are hip and new has evaded us so far. But what we found out while Matt was in town is that there are quite a few places for the younger crowd around town. All we have to do is dig a little deeper to find those hidden gems, which is perfect because that’s exactly what our little beach town is.
This outfit is great for strutting around town looking for those hidden gems in winter. They tell me Florida winters are dry, but this one is far from I – hence the boots to keep my feet dry and warm. And the jacket is light weight enough to keep me cool when the temps rise in the afternoon.
What do you like to wear to explore the town?

I think when they say Florida winters are dry they mean that in the winter it doesn’t rain EVERY day… It is definitely a humid chilly down here. Also, I’m real upset it has already started raining. I am not ready for the monsoon season!
