Rent the runway has been around for a while, and I’ve heard great things. I just never felt like I had a use for them – until my best friend used them for her rehearsal dinner. She got a beautiful, simple, short, white dress. It was perfect. And so from there I was sold that I needed to try rent the runway for myself. With new years eve just around the corner from her wedding, the timing was perfect! But choosing which dress to go with was another story . . . I wanted them all, obviously.

I finally picked one that I had eyed on pinterest many times in an emerald color. I look better – as most dark haired gals do – look better in jewel tones. And because I am one of the 2% with green eyes, emerald is one of my favorite jewel tones to wear. I also feel the embodiment of my word of the year in this dress. You’ll have to wait until next week to really understand why once I can share my word. But no worries, this dress was too much of a stunner to only feature one outfit with it on the blog. I am a fashion blogger, right!? So all this month I’ll be sharing different variations of how I wore the dress, and why I think it embodies my word of the year – which I’m sharing tomorrow!
