Basics: Unless Benjamin has a cold or is getting teeth, he is the dream sleeper (knock on wood). We have a bath and get comfortable around 745; then we use our wellness rollerball on his feet, read a book and sing some songs before laying him down with white noise on. I usually walk out of his room about 815. He goes straight to sleep. Now that he isn’t breastfeeding anymore and has 90% of his teeth, the rough nights mean he wakes up about 11 and struggles to go back to sleep. But most of the time he sleeps until we go in to wake him up between 7 and 730. Then he naps for about 2.5 hours at 1. On the unusual day we let him sleep as long as he wants in the mornings, he sleeps until 10 and will still nap for a bit at 1.
Benjamin is also pretty much the dream eater. He eats whatever I put in front of him and usually requests seconds. As is usual for people in our family, he does not prefer plain, cooked or raw, vegetables. But he eats more than his brother does, and is always willing to at least try where as Jack just straight up refuses. But I’ve gotten good at hiding them 🙂 His day consists of breakfast at 730, snack at 930, lunch at 1130, snack at 330, dinner at 630.
Benjamin is a crawling machine. He recently started cruising around while holding on to things, but still no walking. He loves to play with his stacking bowls and roll cars back and forth with his brother. So far he prefers singing songs over reading books, but I think that’s mostly because he can look at you and interact. He’s very cuddly and loves his people. I can already see admiration for his big bubba 🙂
Ben has such a sense of wonder about everything! He looks at all new things with eyes wide and mouth agape like it is the greatest miracle. It truly is so amazing to watch him learn and experience everything new!
