Last week I started a small series of outfits that have been heavy repeats in real life lately. They all have one thing in common. They are all great for nursing. I’ve mentioned before that breastfeeding has gone delightfully drama free for us. But the one thing that was really frustrating at the beginning was nursing in public. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be. I try to keep the nipple under wraps, but that proves difficult with a wiggly baby on your lap. The key is an outfit with easy access and a little extra fabric.
This is definitely the most heavily repeated outfit of all the ones I’ll share. It’s just so easy – jeans, tank, cardigan, earrings, shoes. The cardigan is the perfect nursing cardigan. It’s sold as a maternity piece, but it works perfectly for my non pregnant self. The ruffles as I call them are that extra bit of fabric you need to keep covered, and the tank is easy to just pull down. Plus it’s easy to change things up with a different colored cardigan, statement or dainty earrings, booties or sandals. You could even add some leggings and make it a little athleisure.
