For the next couple weeks I’ll be showing some of the outfits that have been heavy repeats in real life lately. They all have one thing in common. They are all great for nursing. I’ve mentioned before that breastfeeding has gone delightfully drama free for us. But the one thing that was really frustrating at the beginning was nursing in public. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be. I try to keep the nipple under wraps, but that proves difficult with a wiggly baby on your lap. The key is an outfit with easy access and a little extra fabric.
The buttons on this green dress give it that easy access, and the sheath underneath is the extra fabric you need to stay covered until the last possible second. It’s a wonderful crepe fabric which is perfect for the Florida warm weather. But it does wrinkle fairly easily. I’m learning that there are certain things I’m willing to give in for good fashion and easy nursing. Steaming has turned out to be one of them. If you would have told me that a year ago or even 6 months ago I would have laughed in your face. Motherhood changes a lot of things, right?
