I’ve said several times throughout this pregnancy that if a maternity clothing item didn’t have ruching, I bought it a size up. My thoughts were that it would last second trimester (with a belt) to third trimester (stretched to the max). No matter how big that belly got, all my clothes would fit. This worked 99% of the time. There are 2 items that are still too big. One is a dress I bought in May for my Indiana baby shower. I joke and say I don’t look pregnant in it.  That’s not totally true, but it certainly hides the size of the bump. I wish I would have taken a picture without the belt. Then you’d be able to see that the belt actually helps show it quite a bit.

At first, I dreamt of wearing this dress without a belt, a flower crown, on the beach. But pink blush makes their clothes big, and I did not look at the size chart. Lesson learned. So, it does not live up to the dream. If I would have gotten it about 2 sizes smaller it would be perfect, and still would have lasted second and third trimester just like I thought. I love the dress. It’s so comfortable, a great material, durable, I get compliments from almost everyone ever time I wear it. My non pregnant friend Allison and I talk about buying it to wear all the time it’s so wonderful. And I just might once I figure out what my size will be after baby . . .

Do you have any clothing pieces that are too big, but you still love them?
