We’re a week away from the end of August! How did this happen? We all say that, but seriously time goes so fast.

When I first got pregnant, I vowed to myself to not wear an empire waist the entire time. That lasted about 24 weeks. Then I traveled to Indiana and the difference in climates and altitudes (or something) made my whole body swell up. I felt like a watermelon and looked like I do now 12 weeks later in Florida. That might be an exaggeration, but it’s how I felt. Miserable and uncomfortable, I went to Old Navy to find a shirt that would look nice for my nephews graduation. This purple empire waist tank is the best I found at the last minute.

Guys, I wear this thing almost every week. It might be my favorite maternity shirt. It’s so versatile and so comfortable. The only downfall is sometimes I look a little more pregnant than I actually am. But I think that comes with the territory of almost being full term and being uncomfortable 27 hours a day.

What are your thoughts on empire waists?

I can see why it would be a favourite shirt and the empire waist is something that makes many of us look good
