This year pantone surprised us all by choosing 2 colors of the year for the first time ever. Ever? That might be an exaggeration I have nothing to back that up, and I’m not going to google it. But I know it’s been a long time since we’ve had 2 colors chosen. One is rose quartz. It is my favorite of the two, but the second one – serenity – definitely has it’s strong points. The two colors together bring in both light and warm colors in the perfect balance. That was probably the point, and it’s one I appreciate. Looking at the two colors I feel calm and organized which are two of my favorite feelings. Yes, organized is a feeling. The colors together also remind me of babies, and who doesn’t want to be reminded of babies as much as possible. Not I.

Separately the colors remind me of rose gold and chambray – two of my favorite colors to wear. I feel like all fashion bloggers took a huge sigh of relief when the colors of the year were ones we wear regularly already, and people love to see (especially together).
