the one about my 29th birthday!

the one about my 29th birthday!

Today is my 29th birthday you guys. I don’t feel old, I’m not worried that in 365 (is next year a leap year so it’s 366?) days I’ll be 30. There are still many years ahead of me, and Iron Man and I are on our adventure in Florida so I must stay in my right mind. What’s left of it anyway 😉

I’m spending it with my girl Jenna at A Savory Feast where I’m sharing a new favorite dessert – Rainbow Sprinkle Cheesecake Cookies! They’re super moist like sugar cookies should be, but they have cream cheese  . . . and sprinkles! The perfect birthday cookie for a cheesecake loving 29 year old.

And to celebrate I’ve got 2 goodies for you!

First, I’ve revamped my sponsorship program. I love sponsoring other blogs . . . helping another blogger by growing my blog with them. So now that I’m freelancing  – that’s what I’m calling it now – and I have more time to spend on this blog, I’ve reevaluated things. Some spots have been added and the others were revamped so I can give more to my sponsors. I’m really excited about it and I’m committed to give my sponsors the best experience, and I hope you all will be excited too. Since it’s my birthday for the next week use the code ‘birthday’ to take 29% off any spot 🙂

AND I’ve got a little giveaway to celebrate and say thank you to all of you wonderful ladies! Yup, I’m calling it. I know there a few men and I appreciate you so much, but most of you are ladies and all ladies love Kate Spade. This lady loves amethyst and it’s her birthday so just leave a comment below with your favorite birthday memory for your chance to win a pair of Kate Spade Amethyst Emerald Cut Earrings! I’ll announce the winner on instagram and twitter Sunday.

  1. Oooh, I love those earrings! Happy Birthday, Bex. I hope you have a wonderful day today! My favorite birthday memory would probably be the first year Andrew and I were dating and we both took my birthday off of work. We spent the day doing tourist-y things in our town and going out to my favorite restaurants. It was so much fun!

  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope it is totally magical – one of my favorite birthday memories was when I turned 18 and my friends and I did a photo scavenger hunt in Chicago and then went to a Harry Potter exhibit at the Field Museum.

  3. Elise says:

    Happy birthday!!
One of my favorite birthday memories is when my family planned our vacation on the week of my birthday and got us tickets for The Phantom of the Opera!

  4. saroja says:

Happy Birthday….. My favorite birthday memory was my sweet sixteen party my parents threw for me and it was a complete surprise.

  5. Stacey says:

Happy Happy Birthday! My favorite birthday memory would have to be my 30th, last year. We had recently moved to Northeast Indiana (holla!) and I was lonely. He sent me flowers at work, and then when I got home, I opened to the door to 30 balloons, all over the place. It was so sweet and so special to me!

  6. Marissa says:

Happy birthday Bex! My favorite birthday memory is from my 18th birthday when my mom through me the best surprise party!

P.S. Those cookies look amazing, I can’t wait to try them out sometime.

  7. FIRST: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Second: My favorite memory is having a sleepover at my dad’s apartment and making pillowcases with my girlfriends. We used puff paint which isn’t really practical for sleeping but we had a blast and I held onto mine for years after. It was also the year I decided to get blonde highlights in my brunette hair. It wasn’t a good look for me because my hair ended up looking gray. Whomp whomp!

  8. Sheryl says:

Happy 1st 29th Birthday! The cookies look amazing. I feel like I might go into a coma just looking at them. My mom did not make a big deal about birthdays as I was growing up. So, the birthday I remember the most is when my daughter turned 10. I let her invite her friends to come for a sleepover. We went to BW3s for chicken wings on Friday night of the NCAA finals (that was dumb) It was so packed, but the girls loved it. Then we came home for cake and ice cream and open presents. I spent so much money on presents that year. She got everything she wanted. She would probably say she remembers that birthday the most too.

I hope that you ha e the best day today, no matter if you celebrate BIG or little.

  9. Gennie says:

Happy happy birthday!!! My favorite birthday memory is my 16th birthday. My cousin, who’s like my big brother, came to visit me, and we had the best time. I was really sick with health issues at the time, and I just remember it being one of the best days I had had in a verry long time.

  10. Clarissa says:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🙂 These are so gorgeous!! My favorite birthday memory is the year my husband and I started dating. His birthday is 3 days before mine and it was just so nice sharing that special celebration!

  11. Kayla says:

Happy birthday, pretty lady! Those earrings are so pretty — eeee! My family always did birthdays big, and I think my favorite birthday party was a Friday the 13th birthday. It was when Goosebumps was really popular…we don’t really need to talk about it. Haha! 😉

  12. natalie says:

Amethyst is my birthstone! Happy birthday! My favorite birthday memory was seeing The Secret Garden ballet with friends for my 12th birthday.
