the one with a valentine’s day printable

The only thing I find that’s different about valentines day as a married lady is there’s not really as much pressure. Iron Man believe it or not is a typical man – so Valentines day is not his thing. He loves me . . . he loves being married . . . I know all of these things without asking him because he’s a man of action not many words. So buying me jewelry, fancy chocolates, teddy bears, and a corny card is not his style. Thankfully it’s not mine either. Sure it’s sweet the rare time it happens, and I always love getting flowers sent to me at work. But it’s not him, it’s not really me, and so it’s not us.

When we were dating, we tried to make a big deal out of valentines day. One year I made a fancy dinner and we ate on my grandmother’s china. He bought me a beautiful bracalet that I love, but rarely wear and I got him some clothes that he wears all the time because he knows they’re my favorite. The next year we did the expensive gift thing again and went to a fancy restaurant. Then last year we got smart . . . we just went to our favorite restaurant and made fun baskets for each other. Each basket was filled with things we knew the other person loved.

We each had made each other a little coupon book and it ended up beign a challenge to see who could keep theirs the longest I still have 1 and he still has 2, who cuold use one of their coupons to get out of the other’s coupon for example, he used his coupon to pick date night movie and I used mine to pick what we do on date night saying we’d stay in. So he picked the movie and I fell asleep early 😉

So this year he gets another coupon book (he already knows this), and hopefully I do too! Of course, his to me are just written on torn sheets of notebook paper and mine to him are fancy schamncy. This year I went all out and made up a quick and cute little printable to use for each coupon! I wanted to share that all with you so hopefully you can enjoy a sweet night out with your man.

I print mine at my local drugstore on 4×6 picture prints then use a permanent marker to fill in my details, but you can always print them at home too! Feel free to get weird with it. Make those terms and conditions hard rules for him to follow. If you’re married get a little (or a lot) sexy with it too 😉 What are your plans for valentines day?

This is such a great idea! I gave my husband some of these that I bought as a gift a few years ago, but I think it would be perfect to make custom ones! Thank you!

Such a cute idea! Matt and I aren’t super over the top, either. We just love to celebrate our love throughout the year so we keep Valentine’s Day pretty low-key!
