the one with the living room reveal

If you will remember all the way back to August, we had just bought a new house. Before the holidaze we were able to  finish up the office results, share the kitchen reveal, add some pizzaz to the dining room, and added some new floors. Although I didn’t mention them at the time, the other rooms of the house were getting along just fine, too. Today I have the living room reveal for you . . . let’s start with the before

photo 5 (4)Our living room is so perfect for entertaining with it’s vaulted ceilings and open layout. I love that it is blocked off from the kitchen and bedrooms, but still open and inviting for when we entertain.

The couch of course is the focal point of the room so I wanted something that could hold a lot of people, be super comfortable, and still have at least some style to it. I found that in this couch, thankfully.

When we moved in, we painted, added the batten board, changed the floors from carpet to laminate, and painted the fireplace. What’s left to do is . . .

– bigger/darker rug

– add wall hooks/coat hangers to foyer

– refinish dining room table

– make new end tables

– get new frame for John Lennon art piece

– refinish lawyer’s cabinet to work as buffet on the dining room side wall.

Do you have any rooms finished or projects on the horizon?
