What’s better than an apple dipped in chocolate and peanut butter? Nothing. But caramel, peanut butter, and apples is close. Especially when you put it on a sugar cookie pizza crust. Without further ado, here’s a new recipe for caramel apple pizza . . .
Ingredients
- •
- 1 tube (16-1/2 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- •
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- •
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- •
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- •
- 2 tablespoons milk
- •
- 4 cups sliced peeled tart apples
- •
- 1 can (12 ounces) lemon-lime soda
- •
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- •
- 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
- •
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Spread your cookie dough flat in a circle shape and bake per package instructions.
- once cooled - mix beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, brown sugar and milk until smooth. Spread over crust.
- combine the apples and soda; drain well.
- Toss apples with cinnamon; arrange over cream cheese mixture
- Drizzle with the caramel topping
This dessert would go so well with Thanksgiving which is 2 weeks away – if you happen to not like pumpkin or pecan pie. You could even whip it up in about 30 minutes if say . . . the pecans burned. What are your favorite apple recipes? Do you use them at Thanskgiving?

November 13, 2014 at 3:31 pmOkay, number one… you completely crack me up. Your sense of humor is right up my alley! The only thing I ever do in relation to Black Friday is look at the ads, but that’s about it. I can’t stand being around that many other crazy people. My mom makes Pecan Tassies too… I’m allergic to nuts, so I can’t eat them, but they smell SO GOOD.
