In the past few months, I’ve shared some products in my favorites list that have actually ended up not being my favorites. So I wanted to share some of those with you today, and what ended up happening to make me take them off the list. I can’t have everything be negative up in here so I’ve also found a replacement. I have previously tooted the horn of baby lips. I was looking for a lip balm with a little color and I had heard so many good things so I got some. For the first month I loved it so I added it to my favorites. I have no idea what happened . . . but the longer period of time I used it the more almost raw my lips got. Sorry if that’s gross. Especially inside my mouth right inside my lips. I tried using it less times a day – I tried using it more times a day – but it only went away when I completely stopped. I do still occasionally use baby lips when I want that lip color, but rarely and not more than once a day. I’m sure this is just something with my lips and this product and I love other Maybelline products – this is definitely nothing against them. I found pixi at Target one day, picked it up, and haven’t looked back since. I have also tooted the horn of the Burts Bees cleansing wipes. I do still like them, especially the smell, but I’ve learned they’re more makeup removing than cleansing. I just started to miss that clean and fresh feeling you got right after rinsing your face off. and as soon as I started using something else my face broke out . . . a sure sign the Burts Bees weren’t getting deep enough to get everything out. That also backs up that I thought they are more makeup removing than cleansing. I’m still using them to take my makeup off at night before I wash my face. But for cleansing I’m back to ponds . . . the elf kabuki brush I also loved and used sooo much for my powder . . . but one day after 3 months of use I cleaned it and it totally fell apart . . . I bought another . . .  and it immediately fell apart. I’m cleaning them the same way I always have, and I’ve never had a problem with elf so I’m not sure what’s up.  I got the Mary Kay mineral powder brush and I love it. I’ve had it for almost 2 months now and washed it several times.
