The hubs and I went camping about a month ago, and we still had over half of our smores supplies left so I decided to use them up and make a smores pie. This recipe is super easy and of course, can be adapted to whatever you have in your kitchen.
The crust :
I used a store bought pie crust mix I had on hand, but you could use graham crackers or if you’ve got time a homemade pie crust.
the chocolate ::
I melted the chocolate bars we had on hand in the microwave . . . easy peasy. You could use chocolate pudding or just chocolate chips. Next time I make it i’ll probably use some milk chocolate chips with milk to make it creamy. Once you have your chocolate mixture ready just spoon it on top of the cooled crusted and spread it around with a baking spatula.
the marshmallows ::
once you’ve got the chocolate on take your marshmallows and cut each in half – one to put on top of the chocolate and one to eat. Once the pie is covered in marshmallows, broil it in your oven for 30 seconds . . . and just 30 seconds.
boom you’re done. and it’s delicious . . . delish I tell you! takes like a smore made by a professional.
